I like green… just not for my toilet! Or bathtub for that matter… We did most of our demo right away, but we saved the kids’ bathroom until the last minute (it’s nice to have a working potty!) After the framing was complete, however, it was time to go!
Wes occupied the girls outside, while also sweeping off the driveway – love our big trees, but they sure are messy!
Originally I was just going to paint the cupboard, but I decided it needed to go too – Ideally I will add shelving and hooks for towels in the nook. Oh and notice that green cast iron tub? Apparently the only way to get those out is with a sledge hammer. That’s all the further I got lol. (Its HOT in there with no AC and dust flying!) Thankfully I was able to call in some actual MAN power to finish the job. After all the demo was complete, my grandfather framed in the half-wall in the kids bathroom to accommodate a full size tub & shower combo. Woohoo!
When we removed the cabinet we needed to repair the hole in the floor that had served as a laundry shoot of sorts (so glad we’re going to be moving the laundry facilities upstairs!)
Also, notice the MOLD on that drywall? Sick. That was from the half-bath (now also laundry room)… luckily we’re getting that issue taken care of!
