Twisted Flower Bracelet

Whilst searching for gift ideas, I came across a gorgeous Rosette Bracelet Tutorial by Heidi at sew.craft.create. I instantly fell in love! I had already used the “rosette” flower technique a couple of times before on some other projects so I thought this would be super easy. When it came time…

Pom Necklaces

These necklaces were created as gifts for my cousins. I found a tutorial for them on the stay-at-home artist blog: it was a guest post by Rachel Obrien. The weren’t quite as easy as I though {NOT hard, I just suck at using the hot glue gun :P}, but very…

Sugar Scrubs

When I started seeing sugar scrub recipes on Pinterest, I knew I had to do some for Christmas. After looking at how different people approached them I ended up coming up with my own variations {& from what I hear they turned out pretty good!} We kept a little of…

A Homemade Christmas

Happy New Year everyone! Now that the Christmas season is over, I though I’d look back on our homemade gift creations: some of them are pretty self explanatory and will only appear here, and a few I will include links to full posts on how we did them. We had…

25 Frames: Spray Painting Cheap Frames for a Unified Picture Wall

I’ve decided that I want a picture wall. You know, the walls with a ridiculous amount of different sized frames all squished together? When I first started seeing these on the internet I strongly disliked them… I thought they looked so messy. Obviously now I have changed my mind :)….

DIY Camera Strap Cover

This year Wes and I thought that in addition to our regular Christmas shopping, it would be nice to make some of our gifts ourselves. While this definitely helped with the budget, it was also a nice way to have special, personal gifts for our family. As I was searching…

Frosted Christmas Krispies

As the end of the year approaches, the number of things to get done and places to go is steadily increasing! Incredibly busy, but also incredibly fun :). This past weekend we had two different family Christmas gatherings so we decided to make some “Christmas” Rice Krispie treats. {Note: regular…

Upcycling Toddler Shorts Into A Toddler Purse

Ever have a strong desire to make a small purse out of children’s booty shorts?? Just me? Ok then. We got these shorts in one of our ebay “lots” of clothing – size 24 months. Most of the clothes were for the fall/winter season, because that’s when she turns 2,…

Gluten Free Zuppa Toscana

Before I got diagnosed with Celiac Disease one of my favorite restaurants was the Olive Garden; I especially loved their “Zuppa Toscana” {Tuscan Soup}. While Olive Garden does now offer some gluten free options, this soup is sadly not one of them.  I think we’ve figured out a pretty good…

Our First Blog

I first started blogging in 2011, a few months after our first child was born. It was mostly GF recipes and crafts, but eventually I began to include our family as well. In 2017 I decided to start fresh with BROhaha, but I did import most of our old posts here! (You may still see the "DCL" watermarks on old pis as well!)
