There are times when I swap out part of a lesson f

There are times when I swap out part of a lesson for a YouTube video or app that I think will engage the kids better… and there are times I skip the tech and utilize something more hands on! 👋🏼

Personally we loooove using real letter (& number) tiles with our @thegoodandthebeautiful curriculum. The kids get excited to use the manipulatives, and it makes it so much more fun!

We officially completed the first few days of the “homeschool partnership” we are doing with the youngest 5 at a local school! They each have one class a day a few times a week, but the classes are at different times 😅. I’ve been experimenting with the best way to occupy the kiddos who are waiting, and I’ve found that we really enjoy doing our @areasonfor handwriting during this time! I can just tear out their sheets for the day, and it’s not something they need a lot of direction on, so we’re able to sit quietly and work on it. 🙌🏼

This year is definitely a big change in routine for us, but the kids have been loving it so far!

I’ve always been the type of person to seek comf

I’ve always been the type of person to seek comfort in having everything planned out perfectly and having confidence in making all the right decisions. These past few years in particular, I’ve learned that I need to stop trying to bear that burden and trust the leading of the Spirit more. I never thought we’d be where we are today, but I’m so so grateful for it!! 🫶🏼

The last few weeks of summer are winding down, and I’m exciting/eager to finish up planning for the school year ahead: I have a lot of goals and desires for us, but I know I need to hold to them loosely and work with whatever comes our way 🖤
