Sharing our new curriculum from @areasonfor!! We Sharing our new curriculum from @areasonfor!!

We have loved using this curriculum for handwriting and science this past school year. We intend on using ARF for these subjects again, plus we’re trying out their Guided Reading program!

✨ Thank you to A Reason For for sending us this curriculum! You can use BROHAHA20 to save 20% your order 🖤
We went from cold and windy directly to hot and st We went from cold and windy directly to hot and sticky (thanks #Iowa) but so far nothing has stopped my kids from wanting to play with their cousins every single day! 🥹🥰

We’re currently planning on going through the end of June for our school year, so hopefully we can stretch out the motivation just a bit longer 😅 It takes a lot of convincing each day to get through our schoolwork when all they want to do is play, but it’s so worth it having family next door!

When does your school year end!?
It’s been a lovely Mother’s Day today! We got It’s been a lovely Mother’s Day today! We got to attend church and enjoy lunch with family, and have spent the afternoon relaxing at home. Im so grateful to get to be a mama to these sweeties! 🖤🌷

It’s looking like we’re still not through our season of constantly getting sick off & on 😭 I don’t know if it’s because our immune systems have been down for so long we’re just re-catching everything now? It’s sooo frustrating, but I’m learning to help us push through it and do what we need to get done anyways. We’ve had so many “sick days” this past school year, I’m *hoping* we can actually wrap up by the end of June 😅.

I have to remind myself to keep perspective, and not fall into a victim mentality with all the struggles that seem to keep popping up for us. I am SO grateful for my family and how we get to do life together, so im working on focusing on gratitude over the ailments 🤪

✨ Disclaimer: this amazing curriculum was gifted to us by @areasonfor in exchange for sharing 🖤
It’s been a pretty great week for us so far! The It’s been a pretty great week for us so far! The kids have been able to focus better on their schoolwork, and they’re loving being able to get outside all the time!!

✨REMINDER: Don’t forget to enter the giveaway in @areasonfor’s page for a change to win a full year of curriculum for one child!! ✨
Happy Friday! It’s been a while since I’ve re- Happy Friday! It’s been a while since I’ve re-introduced ourselves, so I thought I might as well today 🙃.

I’m Kate! I get to stay at home and homeschool our 5 youngest sweeties: Audriana, Zoey, William, Harper & Vivienne. Our oldest daughter Hayden just started at a local Christian school this school year, and that has been a great fit for her. I also do “daycare” for a cute little guy during the week, as well as some blogging and social media content creation on the side ✨

I love to share about our travel adventures, #homeschooling, #glutenfreerecipes, and lots of DIY projects (though it’s been a while for that category). And of course just random cuteness along the way 😇

My husband Wes and I have been together for almost 19 years (in May!), and we were so excited when he accepted a permanent work-from-home position last fall. We are very grateful for where God has us in this season of life, and it’s been amazing to watch Him work in our lives.

I also love all the connections I’ve made with you awesome people here through social media, so tell me something about yourselves too in the comments!! 📝
Monday vibes ✨ (Viv was not thrilled about being Monday vibes ✨ (Viv was not thrilled about being too short for the water slide 🥲)

We had a super busy, but super fun weekend! It was one of those weekends that flew by before I had much of chance to do any of the things I was hoping to accomplish, but I’m grateful for all the extra time we got with friends and family 🙂

But we are thankful we can still celebrate our risen Savior, thankful for technology that lets us worship with an Easter service from home, and we still get to do a few fun activities with the kids! ✝️
I have been purposefully distant from social media I have been purposefully distant from social media these past several months. Over the past decade+ I have loved sharing our lives and capturing so many memories of our family and connecting with so many other amazing individuals. But as social media kept evolving and things like “the algorithm” were introduced, it began to take up more and more of my time and energy. It has been very good for me to take a step back for a while and reprioritize my time!

I feel that I’m getting to a better place of balance where I can start to share our lives a bit more again, without having to worry about the numbers and spending excessive time on “engagement”. The algorithm may not like me anymore, but I’ve had to remind myself that’s not my purpose for sharing 🖤

It’s been nearly a month since we attended Wes’s brother’s wedding in AZ, but I’m finally getting around to sharing some pics! 🥰
Our sweet Audriana is 9 years old today!! She’s Our sweet Audriana is 9 years old today!! She’s off having a blast with her GG today 🥰 We are so grateful for this girl! (Swipe to see some birthday portraits throughout the years 😍)

One of the many things I love about homeschooling One of the many things I love about homeschooling is the relationships the kids get to have with each other. It’s not always rainbows and sunshine, but the little moments like this are always my fave! Will’s becoming quite a little reader, so he was happy to read Toy Story to Viv when she asked 🥰
William got to spend most of his birthday yesterda William got to spend most of his birthday yesterday with his GG, and you better believe he came home with some goodies! 🤩 He has named this big squishy octopus 🐙 “Earthy” and is carrying it with him everywhere today 🤣👏🏼. I love this SEVEN year old so much!!

I first got started in the blogging world back in 2011: It was mostly gluten free recipes and crafts, but eventually I began to include our family as well. In 2017 I decided to start fresh with BROhaha, but if you'd like to take a look back and browse through our old posts, check out Discover. Create. Live.!
