School is back in session, and today I am excited to share with you a few awesome products that are perfect for kiddos! In this Babbleboxx, we received three awesome new products: Fun and engaging lunch notes from MyWish4U,  the inspiring and hands-on book STEM Like a Girl by Sarah Foster, and a specialized purple-to-clear scar cream for kiddos by Mederma for Kids. Each of these items is so useful in it’s own way, so read on to learn more about them!

MyWish4U: Lunch Notes From Me! Cards

This is our first year sending a child off to school and packing lunches. I have actually been searching for a fun way to send little notes with Hayden in her lunches, so I was thrilled to see these lunch notes from MyWish4U included! These cute little cards can be found at Target stores nationwide and are a thoughtful way to let your child know you are thinking about them each day!

The colorful set of 101, single sided notes, provides entertainment on one side, and leaves blank space on the reverse allowing for a personal note if desired. The 3-pack is only $4.99 and each pack has it’s own category: Zany Facts & Zingers, Brainteasers & Giggles, and Cool Facts & Jokes. I am excited to be able to use these regularly!

“STEM Like a Girl” by Sarah Foster

After noticing the girls in her child’s science classes were more hesitant to join in on science experiments, author and biotech engineer Sarah Foster founded the STEM Like A Girl organization. Her first book, STEM Like a Girl, includes 15 hands-on, STEM-based experiments that kids can do at home, and shares the stories of 35 inspiring girls who have actually
done these experiments! These 35 profiles dive into the reasons of why science is fun for them, and has helped them to build confidence!

This beautifully illustrated book is aimed at girls ages 8-12 and helps them to gain confidence, build knowledge through problem-solving, and work towards becoming future leaders. Strong Is the New Pretty author, Kate T. Parker had this to say about the book:

“It’s so important for our girls to know they’re smart, capable and creative because THEY ARE. STEM Like a Girl helps our girls to see the world around them as accessible and within reach through inspiring the creativity that is already there.”

I am encouraged by all these inspiring stories, and can’t wait to read more about them with my kiddos!

Mederma Scar Cream for Kids

My kids always love being able to play outdoors, and going on lots of fun adventures together. Now that the school year has started back up again, with Hayden being at middle school and the addition places the rest of us go as a homeschool family, there are even more opportunities for injuries and scars to occur. I can remember using Mederma on some of my scars in school, and now they have a specific scar cream for kids!

This easy-to-use gel goes on purple and rubs in clear with a scent kids will love. Penetrating beneath the surface of the skin, this triple-action formula promotes collagen production, aides cell renewal, and helps to lock in moisture. Over time, this will help to greatly reduce the appearance of scars!

For best results, start using Mederma for Kids as soon as your wound has closed and continue using daily for at least 8 weeks on new scars and 3-6 months on existing scars. Make sure the scab has come off naturally and any stitches have been removed. On older scars you may start using Mederma for Kids immediately. Do not apply to broken skin.

Generally, Mederma for Kids users start to see noticeable improvement after about 4 weeks of daily usage, with optimum improvement in 8 weeks.

I am definitely glad to have this handy now so we can grab it as the need arises!
